This year I will be paying even more closer attention to the work choices I make because it affects how I feel every day.

  • The people around me, the pace of work, and the way problems are handled all matter.
  • Everyone carries their own worries, pressures, and responsibilities, and work shouldn’t make that heavier than it already is.
  • I don’t want to wake up feeling rushed or anxious, worried about unfinished work or scared of letting someone down.
  • That’s why I work less and only with a small group of people. I value trust, clarity and kindness over urgency.
  • This way of working didn’t come naturally or early. It came after reaching a certain point in life, and I’m aware that being able to make these choices is a privilege. Not everyone gets the space or safety to slow down, say no, or be selective about their work.

Choosing work carefully is one way on how I take care of myself.
