I haven't done much in the past weeks other than moving away from Wix. Now that I own my CMS, I can finally post more consistently and freely. Lately, most of my time has been spent on work and tech-related tasks.

  • Just watching Tars sleep feels therapeutic sometimes. It often makes me stop and reflect on my own thoughts and problems. Today, he has been especially responsive. He understands our language and happily does anything for treats.
  • There were a few emotionally low days. Playing piano helped me calm down a bit. I also spent some time sketching and painting people I love. They are too personal to share, but the act was comforting.
  • Work has been mostly about debugging and fixing issues. I tried vibe coding this week but it ended up causing anxiety with friends around me. I struggled to stay present in conversations and had to step away, calm myself down, and finish the task alone without LLMs. Logging my tasks in TickTick continues to help me stay grounded. I have also been pretty consistent with it for the past 6 months. Below is my current month stats.

  • I am currently exploring on Surveillance data in Bangalore after a conversation with my friend. When I googled, the first suggestion was this. Will write more as I gather enough information.
  • Lately my thoughts are around how dependent are we on AI already. Unlike electricity (a natural resource we learned to harness and distribute openly), AI is not something that we discovered. It is built, controlled, and owned by corporations. We do not generate our own intelligence systems the way we generate power. Instead, we rent access through tokens and APIs. I would like a future where AI functions more like electricity, something individuals can build, run, and share freely.
  • I also met Yash and Suneela this week. As always, it was filled with conversations and warmth. I tried watching Society of the Snow afterward, it was immersive but a bit slow and dark to complete in one sitting.
