This week had a good mix of people, focus, and small wins.

I worked out of coworking spaces and ended up meeting friends almost back-to-back: Vidhya, Yash, and Bobby. It reminded me how different my days feel when I’m not always in the same environment.

I gave myself a personal break for my birthday this week. Not because I was sick, but simply to rest. I usually do not celebrate birthdays, but this time I used it as an excuse to pause. It felt unusual and good.

On the reading front, I was able to stay focused and nearly completing Starry Messenger. A small reminder to myself to keep the sanity intact with such pockets of focus.

Sketching for Inktober has been fun as well. I missed a couple of days here and there, but I caught up quickly. The group around it is expanding in WhatsApp. It makes me happy.

Back home, Tars has become my little timekeeper. These days I almost always know what I will be doing the moment I step in because of him. It is a routine I did not have before. I am not sure if it is good or bad, but I like the rhythm it brings.

There are moments when an idea strikes, but I do not always have the right way to pin it down. That is why I am turning to home-bot, so I can simply speak and save it.

From the desk

Blog

  • Introduced toggle feature. My current favourite.
  • Added a `Linked Apps` section.
  • Revamped both desktop and mobile views to list overall posts and recent commits.
  • I also reworked on way I am managing my own cms, my recent commits can be found in here. All this so that it also motivates me to write more

My Apps

  • Added blog as a project and documented its architecture with a diagram.

Home-bot

  • Got some hands-on time with my Pi, setting up the base for home-bot.
  • Goal is to eventually log memories (like photos) on my own server. I’m still weighing options between Immich and PhotoPrism. But I like the way this is headed
